Bobby Delaney
Art, for me, is a gateway to endless possibility—a chance to connect with others & bring untold stories to life. driven by a desire to transform concepts into experiences that spark wonder, curiosity, & emotion; much like Dinosaurs & the Jurassic Park franchise have done for me. Providing for others a window to an escape, even if just for a moment.
I believe that each project is an opportunity to help others see their visions fully realized, to shape & elevate ideas, giving meaning to even the smallest details. Creating art is not just about making things; it’s about making things matter. I want to empower brands, teams, & fellow artists to think bigger, beyond the lowest hanging fruit; to explore the edge of what’s possible, & to take that creative leap past it.
I proposed a new collection of T-shirt releases, in which the artwork was inspired by comic book cover art apparel that had regained popularity.
The designs included a printed QR code that, when scanned, would take customers to a webpage filled with extra content regarding the event depicted on the shirt graphic.
The video below was the first of those 'extras,' an Animatic interpretation of first-hand heroic accounts of War that often had not been highlighted by media or otherwise.
With myself, & team-mates: Jeffrey Lawson, Lee Johnson, Johnny Villarreal, & Justin Broome, who all took on Storyboarding, Directing, Illustrating, animating, & editing the project.

Unfortunately, the release met lukewarm results, though numbers-wise should have been considered a success. A subsequent release deviated from the proposed plan & met backlash, confusion, & negative PR from multiple sources. Thus, the collection met its unfortunate end.
Three more illustrations/designs were created & slated for release, with stories, interviews & plenty of content corresponding to each storied account that never saw the light of day. This proposed content delivery method was highly innovative for the apparel space even for the time. If marketed & approached appropriately, it would have been an enormous success.

Taking a struggling product line from $16k/yr to $500k/yr in 6 months!
As the sole designer on staff from June 2021 to October 2022, Seventy-Two designs were launched for sale over the course of 18 months. Many of those designs were & still are the company's top-selling Apparel items.
Upon further calculations we found the designs created during that time, outperformed any of the previously released designs by 900%
Across 14 consecutive months, 8 of the top 10 performing tshirt designs were of Bobby's creation.

Apparel being the primary responsibility
The nature of business found other hats to be worn. So Emails, Package Design, & Website Design were also on the menu.
When asked to create a 'MORE ENGAGING' email than the marketing company hired to do so - My designs became the top performing emails in the company's history, & became the template for emails moving forward.

I caught wind that Rand McNally was putting together Puzzle/Activity Books.
On the notion alone that it would be cool to design a dot-to-dot puzzle, I dove into the exercise of creating one, & sending it to the contact I had within the company. Shortly thereafter the offer(S) to assist in THREE different activity books was in the mail. Ten Illustrations each book - two, dot-to-dot, the other an advanced coloring books.
